Ritual

A scripted act, usually involving speech, one or more focus items, and sometimes sacrifice of life or of other valuables. A ritual takes at least five rounds, and some may even last hours. Most only take a few minutes. A ritual enacts some outcome, affects reality in some way. It may give everyone involved certain status effects, or ward an area, or extend or shorten the duration of some process.
