Witch Abilities

Familiar: Nuanda is accompanied by a black cat named Morrow, which serves as her familiar and omen-beast. Morrow has 3 HP, AC 7 {12}, Move 150’ / 50’, and excellent hearing. If slain, Nuanda suffers a -1 penalty to saving throws for 1 week.

Evil Eye: Once per day, Nuanda may curse one visible creature within 60’. The target must save vs Spells or suffer -2 to attack rolls and saving throws for 1 turn.

Herbal Hexcraft: Given 1 turn and access to her satchel, Nuanda may prepare a minor folk remedy, sleeping draught, warding charm, or bitter poison. These are not instantaneous combat powers unless prepared beforehand.

Ritual Magic: Nuanda can perform non-combat rituals involving curses, divination, spirit-binding, or weather omens. These require time, materials, and referee adjudication.

Stone Step: Once per fortnight, Nuanda may vanish from her current location on this material plane and reappear next to the dolmens of the henge which is located in the Forbidden Zone.

Take Hengeange: After twenty years of study, Nuanda has developed the ability to call upon the nearest Henge, located in the Forbidden Zone. Once daily she may draw up the ancient magic of the henge to drop a living, breathing foe to 1d4 remaining hit points; if the victim saves versus spell they instead suffer only 1d4 damage.

Equipment

Personality

Nuanda Nemere is quiet, watchful, and unnervingly polite. She speaks as though she already knows what others are about to say. She rarely threatens directly, preferring hints, omens, and unsettling bargains. She has a special hatred for oathbreakers and those who harm children, animals, or the helpless.

Appearance

Nuanda is a pale, dark-haired woman in her late thirties or early forties, usually dressed in layered black and moss-green garments. Her eyes are sharp gray, and her fingers are stained from herbs, ink, and ritual ash. She carries the scent of damp earth, smoke, and lavender.

Roleplaying Notes

Nuanda may serve as a dangerous village wise-woman, hidden patron, minor antagonist, source of forbidden knowledge, or morally ambiguous protector of an isolated community. She prefers payment in secrets, old bones, rare herbs, names of the dead, or favors owed.
