Tauste

A mage who lives in a tower in the community of Wizard's Tower, southwest of Dolecherry in the Farground Expanse. Tauste claims to be 800 years old; it might be true. Tauste's tower stands in Wizard's Tower but also in Slaytonthorpe just on the northeastern edge of Milborne.

Tauste can walk through any doorway in his tower and the room he arrives in will be located in either his tower in Wizard's Tower or in Slaytonthorpe, whichever he chooses. In this sense, his entire tower is a Gate, or can be thought of as an instant teleporter. However, the truth is that Tauste exists fully in each tower at the same time. Tauste claims to have lived in his tower for over three centuries. Sure enough, the articles of incorporation for the town of Milborne make reference to the wizard, and those articles were drawn up in PR 312.

Rumors have it that Tauste has rediscovered the process of manufacturing Plast. Sure enough, two Plast breastplates are known to be in circulation. Stronger and more damage resistant than any material other than Mithrilantine, these breastplates weigh only one-tenth of what their standard metallic counterparts weigh, and they are buoyant.
